This report was developed by Dr. Bushra Anwar, in collaboration with APPNA MERIT 2022 members. Information was compiled from APPNA webinars, and some data was shared by fellows in Pakistan from online and other resources. It was aimed towards developing policy paper for Pakistan. The first draft (version 1) has been completed and uploaded. The report describes the current situation of clinical trials market in the world, with a focus on South Asia and Pakistan. It analyses the clinical research industry of Pakistan using relevant framework, highlighting strengths, opportunities, weaknesses and threats. It also includes policy suggestions for each segment of the framework. The second version will include reviews by members from APPNA, ACRP Pakistan, and relevant stakeholders to come up with a roadmap for upscaling clinical research activity in Pakistan using our strengths and addressing our needs
